An undrafted netminder making his NHL debut season at 27, Brandon Bussi has emerged as one of the Hurricanes’ best stories, setting a new mark for the most wins by a goalie through his first 25 NHL games with 21. One of his most jaw-dropping stops came against the Sabres. With Buffalo on the power play, Bussi is left to fend for himself against Tage Thompson and Jason Zucker on a dangerous two-man chance. Thompson feeds Zucker, then gets the puck right back on the give-and-go, but Bussi flashes the glove and snatches away what looked like a certain goal in spectacular fashion.
