In a memorable moment for the franchise, the Coyotes hosted their first-ever home playoff game in Phoenix during Game 3 of the 1997 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The crowd, dressed in white for the iconic "White Out," created an electric atmosphere. Late in the first period, with the Coyotes already up by two, Keith Tkachuk capitalized on a loose puck in the neutral zone, feeding Cliff Ronning for a shot that Tkachuk redirected for the team’s third goal of the game. As team captain and a rugged force on the ice, Tkachuk led all skaters in the series with six goals in seven games.
