During the 2010-11 season, no goaltender played more games than Cam Ward, who appeared in 74 games, winning 37 of them and posting a .923 save percentage. In the 2010 NHL Premiere Series held in Helsinki, Finland, Ward stopped Antti Miettinen's final shootout attempt to give Carolina back-to-back wins over the Minnesota Wild. Ward had a busy night, stopping 41 shots, in addition to his three shootout saves, in the 2-1 Carolina victory. The 2006 Conn Smythe Trophy winner spent all but one of his 14 NHL seasons with the Hurricanes.
