Starting with a regroup deep in the Bruins’ end, Boston breaks out clean and the play eventually springs David Pastrnak all alone. He flies in on the breakaway, pulls off a slick deke, and slides home his 400th career NHL goal—doing it against Toronto, one of Boston’s oldest rivals, and sealing what would stand as the game-winner. Pastrnak later added another goal to cap off a three-point night and power Boston to the win.
With the milestone, Pastrnak becomes just the sixth player in Bruins history to hit the 400-goal plateau, joining franchise legends Johnny Bucyk, Phil Esposito, Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and Rick Middleton.
