As a child, Jonathan Toews idolized Joe Sakic, and in his fifth NHL game of his rookie season, he faced off against his hero, donning the same jersey number 19 that Sakic wore. During that game, Toews scored a spectacular goal that electrified the home crowd. Early in the first period of a scoreless game, he weaved through three Colorado defenders, deked the goalie, and tucked the puck into the net. Toews finished his rookie season with 24 goals and 54 points in 64 games, and later won three Stanley Cups with Chicago.
