Justin Williams earned the 2014 Conn Smythe Trophy as Stanley Cup Playoffs MVP, leading the Los Angeles Kings to their second championship in three seasons. Known for his clutch performances, Williams consistently delivered in the biggest moments, pairing timely scoring with steady leadership throughout the postseason. In the opening round against in-state rival San Jose Sharks, Williams played a pivotal role in one of the most remarkable comebacks in playoff history. With the Kings trailing the series three games to none, he scored twice in a must-win Game 6, including the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal midway through the third period, helping propel Los Angeles to a seven-game series victory. Williams continued his heroics in the Second Round against another California rival, the Anaheim Ducks. In Game 7, he opened the scoring, giving the Kings a lead they would never surrender. Then in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final versus the New York Rangers, Williams came through once more, scoring the overtime winner to give Los Angeles a series lead it would not relinquish, ultimately capturing the Cup in five games and securing the third Stanley Cup championship of his career.
