Facing off against the reigning Stanley Cup champions, Charlie Lindgren delivered an outstanding goaltending performance, shutting out Vegas with a 3-0 victory. During the latter part of the first period, Lindgren thwarted Ivan Barbashev’s breakaway, using his right glove to deny the attempts. In the second period, Lindgren faced the challenge of preventing another breakaway goal, this time against Jack Eichel. Finally, late in the third period, Lindgren made a crucial save on Pavel Dorofeyev's point-blank opportunity in the slot. Lindgren turned away all 35 shots directed at him, earning the well-deserved first star of the game accolade.
