This seasonal Epic set highlights two record-breaking goalie achievements, a rare goalie goal, and other standout feats. These defining moments not only showcase players at their best but also cement their place in NHL history, leaving an indelible mark on the game.

Hart Trophy winner, Nathan MacKinnon has been a dominant force for the Colorado Avalanche throughout his first 11 seasons. His impact on the NHL was immediate, earning the Calder Trophy during his rookie campaign in 2013-14.  
In the first highlight sequence, MacKinnon’s explosive skating is on full display as he blows past the Islanders' defense and scores a breathtaking goal during his rookie season. The second sequence showcases his relentless determination in a December 2018 game against the Coyotes. MacKinnon starts by delivering a big hit to keep the puck in the zone, causing a turnover. Later in the shift, he regains possession, fakes a shot to outmaneuver a defender, and fires a goal past the goaltender.  
In his ninth NHL season, MacKinnon captured his first Stanley Cup in 2022. During the Western Conference Second Round, he delivered the signature goal of the playoffs. In Game 5 against the St. Louis Blues, MacKinnon picked up the puck deep behind his own goal line and went coast-to-coast, scoring a sensational goal—his third of the game. Hats rained down from the home crowd, who were left in awe of his brilliance.

Nathan MacKinnon

Since Sidney Crosby joined the NHL in the 2005-06 season, no player has amassed more points than he has. A proven winner on every stage, Crosby first claimed gold at the 2005 World Junior Championship. He then earned global recognition at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where he famously scored the overtime game-winning goal to secure gold for Team Canada. His success continued as he captained Canada to a second consecutive Olympic gold in 2014. The following year, he led the team to victory at the World Championship in Prague, making him a member of the prestigious Triple Gold Club—the only player to have captained all three winning teams. In 2016, Crosby once again led Canada to gold at the World Cup of Hockey, where he was unanimously voted MVP.  
In the NHL, Crosby has captained the Pittsburgh Penguins to three Stanley Cup championships. One iconic moment came in 2009 during Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, where Crosby scored a crucial game-winning goal to tie the series against Detroit, ultimately leading the Penguins to a seven-game victory and his first Stanley Cup championship. In March 2018, Crosby showcased his incredible hand-eye coordination by juggling the puck to himself before batting it out of the air and into the net. Another standout moment occurred during the 2016 Stanley Cup Final against Tampa Bay in Game 2, where Crosby netted the overtime winner to even the series at home. That year, he claimed the Conn Smythe Trophy, an honor he would win again the following season.
