Drafted second overall by Hartford in 1993, Chris Pronger joined the Whalers for the 1993-94 season, where he scored his first career goal. Positioned at the point, Pronger received a pass and let a wrist shot go that eluded the netminder and found the back of the net. The towering defenseman went on to an incredible career, winning the Norris and Hart Trophies along with the Stanley Cup before being elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
