Goal vs HFD | 2nd Period | Oct 4, 1990

Selected first overall in the 1989 NHL Draft by the Quebec Nordiques, Mats Sundin enjoyed an extraordinary 18-season career, tallying 564 goals and 1,349 points. Sundin scored his first NHL goal in his League debut, on the road against the Hartford Whalers. Skating over the blue line, he fired a wrist shot through a screen that beat the goaltender. Sundin spent his first four seasons with Quebec before eventually joining the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he became a franchise legend.
