In late January 1999, Zdeno Chara scored his first NHL goal, notching the milestone tally in his 50th career game, during his second season in the League, in front of the home crowd at the storied Nassau Coliseum. Receiving the puck at the point, he blasted a slapshot past the Coyotes netminder. Known for his tremendous defensive play, the 2008-09 Norris Trophy winner went on to have a stellar career, eventually captaining the Boston Bruins to the 2011 Stanley Cup championship.
