Goal vs NYR | Overtime | Apr 10, 1985

Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011, Mark Howe made history as the youngest player to win an Olympic medal in ice hockey, securing a Silver Medal at just 16 years old during the 1972 Olympics. In the 1985 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Howe delivered a memorable overtime goal against the New York Rangers with his signature wrist shot, breaking the Flyers' playoff win drought that had stretched since 1982. The Flyers would later reach the Stanley Cup Final that year but fell to the Edmonton Oilers. Howe, whose No. 2 jersey is honored in the Flyers' rafters, concluded his career with an impressive +400 plus-minus rating and 28 shorthanded goals, the most ever by a defenseman in NHL history.
