In what many consider the save of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Sergei Bobrovsky delivered a spectacular stop during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the in-state rival Tampa Bay Lightning. With the score tied at two late in the second period, Bobrovsky slid to the far post anticipating a shot after the puck caromed in that direction. However, when the puck was passed out front instead, Bobrovsky, now turned around, made a desperate lunge and managed to get his outstretched arm on the shot attempt. Throughout the playoffs, Bobrovksy posted a 2.32 GAA while also earning 2 shutouts in winning his first ever Stanley Cup.
