Sergei Bobrovsky, the backbone of Florida’s first Stanley Cup championship last season, was once again a fortress in net for the Panthers in 2025. Known for his consistency, Bobrovsky also delivered clutch saves when his team needed them most.
In the first round against the Tampa Bay Lightning, he pulled off a stunning sequence of back-to-back saves—kicking out Erik Cernak’s shot with his right pad before denying Gage Goncalves’ rebound attempt with his left arm. Then, in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, Bobrovsky slid across the crease just in time to stone Leon Draisaitl’s one-timer with a pad save. His brilliance continued in Game 3, where, during an early Edmonton power play, he robbed Connor McDavid in the slot with a spectacular pad stop, preserving Florida’s lead—a lead they wouldn’t surrender.
Bobrovsky’s stellar playoff performance included three shutouts, a .914 save percentage, and a 2.20 goals-against average, solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s premier postseason performers.
