Sergei Bobrovsky made NHL history as the fastest goaltender to reach 400 career wins, becoming just the 14th netminder to achieve this milestone. Bobrovsky accomplished the feat in only 707 games, surpassing the previous record held by Henrik Lundqvist by 20 games.
In his milestone victory against the New York Rangers, Bobrovsky delivered a standout performance with several clutch saves. During a Rangers power play in the first period, he denied Chris Kreider twice from point-blank range at the doorstep. In the second period, Bobrovsky silenced the New York crowd once again with a stunning sequence: he stopped a dangerous wrist shot from Braden Schneider in the slot and immediately followed it up with a right-pad save on Vincent Trocheck’s close-range rebound attempt.
Already a Stanley Cup champion and two-time Vezina Trophy winner, Bobrovsky continues to add remarkable achievements to his illustrious career.
