Goal vs TOR | 1st Period | May 29, 1993

After scoring the overtime winner in Game 6 of the 1993 Clarence Campbell Conference Final versus Toronto to force Game 7, Wayne Gretzky nets a hat trick to advance the Kings to their first ever Stanley Cup Final appearance. The scoring begins with a 2-on-1 with Marty McSorley where it’s a give-and-go play before Gretzky taps it in for the shorthanded tally. Then on his second goal, Gretzky gets the drop pass from Tomas Sandstrom before skating to the middle of the ice and sending a clapper past Felix Potvin. Gretzky’s final goal was a play where he was behind the goal line and threw the puck out in front of the net. The puck redirected off of a Toronto skate and into the net for a two-goal lead with just over three minutes remaining in the game. Although the Kings would lose in the Stanley Cup Final that season to the Montreal Canadiens, Gretzky had an incredible playoff run registering 40 points which led all players.
