After losing Game 1 of the 1999 Western Conference Final at home, Dallas couldn’t afford another defeat before the series shifted to Colorado. Up 3-2 late in the third period on a power play, Mike Modano makes sure Dallas is heading out with a victory. As Dallas players move the puck around, Modano pops out from the slot to the right side of the umbrella formation. Now near the top of the circle, he receives the pass from Sergei Zubov. There, he plays a beautiful give-and-go with Zubov and roofs it up top over Patrick Roy. The goal proved to be the final one of the game in a 4-2 Stars win. Dallas went on to win the series in seven games and then beat Buffalo in six for their first Stanley Cup. Modano led all Stars players in playoff points that year with 23 which was second in the League.
