Widely regarded as one of the greatest goaltenders to ever play the game, Patrick Roy was known for his incredible athleticism, fiery competitiveness and consistently elevating his game on the biggest stages. Roy's career highlights include four Stanley Cup championships, two with the Montreal Canadiens and two with the Colorado Avalanche. He earned numerous accolades, including three Conn Smythe Trophies, three Vezina Trophies and also ranks third all-time in career wins. Roy's innovative butterfly style, combined with his ability to make spectacular saves, revolutionized the position. Early during the 1987-88 season in a game versus Chicago, Roy stops the initial shot from the point off a faceoff. The rebound kicks out in the slot to another Chicago player where Roy makes an incredible diving stick save to the delight of the Montreal fans.
