In the 1994 Stanley Cup Final against the Vancouver Canucks, Mark Messier delivered the decisive goal that secured the Stanley Cup. Holding a 2-1 lead in the middle of the second period during Game 7, the New York Rangers were on a power play. Sergei Zubov faked a shot, instead passing it down to Brian Noonan. Noonan then lofted the puck towards the net, sparking a frenzied scramble for possession. Amid the chaos, Messier skillfully located the puck and managed to tap it past the opposing goaltender. The goal proved to be the game-winner in a thrilling 3-2 victory, giving the Rangers their first Stanley Cup since 1940, ending a 54-year drought.
