In one of the greatest hockey rivalries of all-time, Peter Forsberg and the Colorado Avalanche got the best of Detroit in 1996 during the Western Conference Final on their way to their first ever Stanley Cup victory. Leading the series 3-2 on home ice in Game 6, Forsberg scores a beautiful goal that puts the game out of reach for the Red Wings. Late in the second period with a two-goal lead, Forsberg pounces on a Detroit turnover on the left boards. He stickhandles through Nicklas Lidstrom before shooting it past the netminder for his seventh goal of the playoffs.
