After capturing the Calder Trophy in 2019-20, Cale Makar's meteoric rise continued as he claimed both the Conn Smythe Trophy and the Norris Trophy just two seasons later, capping off his remarkable year with his first Stanley Cup victory. This multi-highlight celebrates that unforgettable season. In December 2021, Makar showcased his brilliance in Philadelphia, going end-to-end and weaving through multiple Flyers defenders before roofing a stunning goal top shelf. Then, during the 2022 Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Makar struck again with a shorthanded goal in Game 2. Starting on the penalty kill in the defensive zone, he collected the puck near the slot and led a 2-on-1 rush, finishing with a pinpoint wrist shot into the far side of the net. Earlier in those same playoffs, during the First Round against the Nashville Predators, Makar delivered another highlight-reel goal that displayed his speed, creativity, and elusiveness. After gaining possession near the offensive blue line, he evaded pressure with a quick deke, skated down the wall, and finished by shelving the puck past the netminder.
