In his NHL debut Oct. 7, 2015, against the New York Rangers, Artemi Panarin scored his first career goal. As Patrick Kane controlled the puck deep in the Rangers' zone, Panarin skated into the slot. Kane fed him the puck, and Panarin, all alone in front, fired a wrist shot past the goalie to find the back of the net. With 30 goals, 47 assists, and 77 points in the 2015-16 season, Panarin led all rookies in those categories, earning the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year.
