In an overtime matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks, defenseman Devon Toews scored his first NHL goal. After the puck was cycled around, Toews received a pass and unleashed a one-timer that was stopped, but the rebound kicked back out to him. He capitalized on the opportunity, burying the puck for the game winner. Toews spent his first two seasons with the New York Islanders before eventually joining the Colorado Avalanche.
