Marc-Andre Fleury has had an illustrious career that includes three Stanley Cup championships, a Vezina Trophy and William M. Jennings Trophy in 20 NHL seasons. On Jan. 15, 2024, he etched his name in history once again by surpassing Patrick Roy for second place on the League’s all-time wins lists with his 552nd victory. True to his style, “The Flower” accomplished this feat in spectacular fashion, securing a flawless 5-0 shutout triumph over the New York Islanders. In the beginning sequence, Fleury stops a one-timer from Brock Nelson on an Islanders power play. Then in the middle of the third period, he stands tall once again by denying Jean-Gabriel Pageau's attempt. The crowd erupted into chants of "Fleury, Fleury," paying homage to the goaltender's extraordinary achievement.
