After Linus Ullmark also accomplished the feat last season with the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry joins the elite ranks as the ninth NHL goaltender to score a goal by shooting the puck into the net (a feat previously achieved twice by Ron Hextall). This marked the 17th occurrence in League history where a goaltender has been credited with a goal in either the regular season or playoffs, encompassing scenarios where goalies were designated as scorers because they were the last player to touch the puck before an opponent scored on their own net. As the puck is dumped in and reaches Jarry's stick, he elevates it above the fray and into the center of the net. With the goal, Jarry also became the first goalie to do so in Penguins franchise history.
