The eight overall pick from the 2021 NHL Draft, defenseman Brandt Clarke scored his first career goal in dramatic fashion. As the Kings’ penalty expired in overtime, Phillip Danault intercepted a Boston cross-ice pass attempt and sent it up the ice. Fresh out of the penalty box, Clarke collected the puck in the neutral zone and headed down the ice on a breakaway. With a nice backhand-to-forehand deke getting the goalie to bite, he tucked it in for the game winner.
