This collection will be released on April 14th, the day of the Detroit Red Wings Fan Appreciation Night, to cap off the 2024-25 regular season.

Each pack contains 2 mystery highlights that could be Igor Larionov's Triple Overtime Winner - 2002 Stanley Cup Final, Game 3 (Rare #/250), Kris Draper's Overtime Goal - 1998 Stanley Cup Final, Game 2 (Limited #/500), or Nicklas Lidstrom's Game-Winning Blast - 1998 Stanley Cup Final, Game 1 (Core #/1500).

Hometown History: Detroit Red Wings

Fresh off a Stanley Cup win the previous year, Nicklas Lidstrom had an outstanding 1998 postseason, leading all defensemen with 19 points, including six goals. Perhaps his most significant tally was his game-winning goal in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against Washington. In the offensive zone, the puck worked its way back to the point where Lidstrom unleashed a powerful one-timer, beating the goaltender. His first-period goal proved to be the deciding factor, helping Detroit secure an early series lead at home. Lidstrom and the Red Wings ultimately clinched back-to-back championships by defeating the Capitals in four games.

Nicklas Lidstrom

In Game 2 of the 1998 Stanley Cup Final, Kris Draper delivered a thrilling overtime game-winner against the Washington Capitals, giving the Detroit Red Wings a commanding 2-0 series lead. The play unfolded deep in the offensive zone, where a battle for the puck led to an errant clearing attempt by Washington. The puck ricocheted off Brendan Shanahan and landed on Martin Lapointe’s stick. As Draper curled from behind the net toward the slot, Lapointe spotted him and threaded a quick pass. Draper redirected the puck into the net, igniting an eruption of cheers from the home crowd. It was Draper’s first goal of the postseason, a fitting highlight for a player renowned for his speed and defensive prowess rather than his scoring touch. Draper’s illustrious career included winning the Selke Trophy in 2003-04 and capturing four Stanley Cup championships, all with the Red Wings, where he spent his final 17 NHL seasons.

Kris Draper

After splitting the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final at home, the Detroit Red Wings traveled to Carolina for a pivotal Game 3. With the score tied at two apiece, the game stretched into a grueling third overtime, where Igor Larionov etched his name in playoff history. Starting in the defensive zone, Larionov chipped the puck off the boards and down the ice, where Tomas Holmstrom chased it down. Reaching the puck first, Holmstrom collected it just inside the offensive blue line and passed it back to Larionov, who was following the play. Demonstrating exceptional composure, Larionov dodged a sliding defender and outwaited the goalie before firing a backhander into the net. The overtime winner was Larionov's second goal of the night. Detroit subsequently won the next two games to secure the Stanley Cup, marking Larionov's third championship, all won with the Red Wings, contributing to his storied Hockey Hall of Fame career.
