On a first-period power play, Connor Bedard set up on the far side, took a cross-ice pass, settled it quickly, and ripped it top shelf for his first of the night. In the second, he sliced through two Ottawa defenders, pulled up just inside the zone, and wired another shot past the goalie for his second—and the eventual game-winner. Then in the third, after Ottawa rallied from four goals down to get within one, Bedard snapped one home right off an offensive-zone faceoff to complete his first NHL hat trick, restoring Chicago’s momentum and sealing the win over the Senators.
