With the Red Wings trailing 4-3 in the final two minutes of regulation, captain Dylan Larkin rushes back for a tremendous diving effort to knock the puck away from Kings forward Viktor Arvidsson who was in the clear with an empty net. Larkin was parked in front of the Los Angeles net later that shift when Detroit scored a tying goal to force overtime in front of a raucous home crowd.
