Goal vs VAN | 2nd Period | Mar 23, 1994

During the 1993-94 season, Wayne Gretzky achieved a historic milestone by surpassing his childhood idol, Gordie Howe, to become the NHL's all-time leading goal scorer. The remarkable play unfolded with Luc Robitaille spearheading the attack, entering the opposing zone and executing a drop pass back to Gretzky. Displaying his exceptional playmaking abilities, Gretzky swiftly delivered a pass to Jari Kurri, who in turn sent the puck over to Marty McSorley. Positioned unmarked on the left side, Gretzky received a pass from McSorley, allowing him to effortlessly tap the puck into the net for the goal. The electrified crowd erupted in cheers as the Kings' bench swiftly flooded the ice, celebrating this incredible accomplishment. The memorable moment came in Gretzky’s 15th NHL season, one in which “The Great One” led the League in both assists and points.
