Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog scored his first goal in nearly three years, tallying for the first time since Game 3 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Final. After returning from a career threatening knee injury in Game 3 against Dallas, Landeskog received a roaring ovation from the home Colorado crowd. Then in the second period of Game 4, Landeskog received a pass near the top of the circle from Brock Nelson before he ripped a snapshot top shelf for the tally. Adding an assist later in the game, Landeskog capped off a triumphant two-point performance, earning First Star honors in a moment neither he nor the Avalanche fans will ever forget.
