In the opening minute of his NHL debut, Carey Price comes up with a clutch save on Mark Recchi, who was left all alone in front. Price followed that up later in the period with a flurry of saves including a great stop on Sidney Crosby who was right at the doorstep. It was an early sign of things to come, as Price went on to earn his first career NHL win that night. His rookie season was a strong one, finishing with a 24-12-3 record, a .920 save percentage, and a 2.56 goals-against average.
